Viking Motel

I stayed one night recently and I'm not used to the humid climate, I'm from Wyoming. I was very pleased with my stay the room temperature was perfect all night and the bed was just right. Definitely recommended

There isn't a lot to choose from in Lindsborg, so we decided on the Viking Motel. We stayed on a Sunday night. No one was around when we tried to check in. They did come shortly, however. There weren't a lot of people staying so the parking lot provided ample room, right in front of our room as a matter of fact. The room was well apportioned with everything you would need. For us, that is mainly a fridge and microwave. Both worked fine. The window air conditioner ran non-stop and that was to keep the room between 70 and 72. The main reason for this was to keep the smell of mildew away. The soaps, were the old bar style were really small. The bed was soft and lumpy, but was still functional. The key was still the old style like a house key. Never a fan of those as the tags have the room number and hotel written right on it. If lost or stolen, they have free access to your room. Upon checking out in the morning, once again, no one was around and the office was locked up. Needless to say, no continental breakfast for us! So, overall the room was decent, location was good (dala right in front!) and the price was very reasonable. Service, however was suspect, at best. Would we stay again? Maybe if it was an emergency, but we would try other places in town before coming back here.

This is not upper scale but you are not paying those prices. For the price you get a safe area, very updated, clean and comfortable room.

This place will become a regular overnight stop for us between Denver and Joplin. CLEAN! QUIET! COMFORTABLE!

This is an older model but it has been updated. Very clean and comfortable. The staff are very helpful and concerned about you stay being the best it can be. The furnishing are very nice. Comfortable chairs. Recommend this to anyone traveling thru the area

Nice hotel for the price point! We traveled with our dogs and had a slightly confusing interaction with the front desk clerk — the sign says “no pets,” but online it says pets are allowed. Everything worked out in the end ($20 per pet), but a little clarification would go a long way.

Our family attended Bethany College Graduation for our Grandson and stayed at the Viking Motel for 3 days. Cindy was wonderful, sweet, kind and friendly. Our rooms were comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. A very homey room! There were a total of 9 of us with 3 rooms and everyone of us enjoyed our stay. The motel was within walking distance to downtown and the college. Two restaurants were close by as well as a store. Beautiful garden area to sit and we had a nice complimentary continental breakfast in the morning! We loved it!

I wasn’t planning on staying in Lindsborg but the snow storm caught us off guard traveling home from Nebraska to Oklahoma the day after Thanksgiving. My wife found a cute little place in Lindsborg that welcomed us in. They even turned the heat on about 30 mins before we got there. It was bitterly cold outside that Saturday morning, yet the staff was already out sweeping and salting the sidewalks before most of the sleeping guests even woke up. They saw us and even brought us 2 hot cups of coffee, and two mildly hot cups of tea for the kids as we started loading our car. If I travel this way again, I’ll be sure to stop at the Viking motel!
